Vigilia en la Escuela de Asuntos Globales de la Universidad de Toronto por los muertos en la mina de Barrick en Tanzania.

Se convoca a conmemorar las vidas de los muertos en la mina de Barrick en North Mara, en Tanzania. En la actividad se recordará a Emanual Magige (27), Chacha Mwasi (25), Chacha Ngoka (26), Chawali Bhoke (26), y Mwikwabe Marwa (35).

A las familias se les ha negado el acceso a los cuerpos y han sido intimidados, se convoca a recordar las vidas de los muertos por Barrick frente a la Facultad de Peter Munk, presidente de la transnacional canadiense.

Se realizará una ceremonia simbólica desde la calle 1 Devonshire Place hasta 315 Bloor Street West donde se hará un funeral simbólico donde se construye la infraestructura de la escuela de Peter Munk sobre Asuntos Globales.

You are invited to commemorate the lives of those killed in the North Mara Mine: Emanual Magige, 27; Chacha Mwasi, 25; Chacha Ngoka, 26; Chawali Bhoke, 26; Mwikwabe Marwa, 35.

As families have been blocked from mourning due to the thefts of bodies and intimidation, we will be honouring the lives of these individuals at the Munk School of Global Affairs, newly branded by the Munk Foundation, a body formed by Barrick Gold Chairman Peter Munk.

We will carry out the commemoration at 1 Devonshire Place and from there will have a small funeral procession walk ending at 315 Bloor Street West, the construction site of the new Munk School of Global Affairs.
